At CODEC, collaboration sits at the heart of what we do. We believe the best software doesn’t come from silos—it comes from teams working together across boundaries, disciplines, and even time zones. That’s why we’re so excited to share more about our partnership with Druid Lab , a New Zealand–based startup that’s building something genuinely transformative for IT professionals worldwide. Working alongside founder Simon Falconer and his team, we’ve been helping bring Druid —an enterprise-grade Windows diagnostics and reporting platform—to life. It’s been an inspiring journey, not just because of the technology itself, but because of what it represents: the creativity, pace, and ambition of New Zealand’s software community. Why This Project Matters Diagnostics are one of those unsung areas of IT. Every sysadmin and helpdesk engineer knows the frustration of gathering logs, screenshots, and reports from Windows machines. It’s time-consuming, inconsistent, and often leaves clients waiting while engineers chase down details. Druid changes the game. It’s a one-click solution that captures a complete health snapshot of any Windows system—hardware, software, performance, event logs, network connectivity, even security posture—and turns it into professional-grade reports. That means faster fixes, fewer escalations, and more trust between IT providers and the businesses they support. For managed service providers (MSPs), the benefit is multiplied. Instead of every technician approaching diagnostics differently, Druid standardises the process, ensuring consistency across hundreds or thousands of endpoints. CODEC’s Role in the Journey From the outset, our role has been to help Druid Lab take a strong vision and shape it into a reliable, launch-ready product. That’s meant working shoulder-to-shoulder with their developers on everything from build automation to installer polish. A few highlights of our collaboration include: Build & Release Engineering – We worked to streamline Druid’s build pipeline, automating packaging for both MSI installers and portable builds, complete with versioning and retention policies. Deployment Confidence – Enterprise clients need reliable installation at scale, so we focused heavily on silent install modes, RMM-friendly deployment, and Windows Event Log integration. UI/UX Enhancements – Professional tools need to look and feel professional. Together with Druid Lab, we’ve refined splash screens, polished forms, and ensured consistent messaging across the application. Partnership Discipline – Launch deadlines matter. Our engineering discipline—paired with Druid Lab’s clear product vision—has kept the project on track, milestone after milestone. The result is more than just a piece of software. It’s a product we know will make life easier for IT teams around the globe. Celebrating New Zealand Innovation One of the things that makes this partnership special is the chance to work with a New Zealand–based founder and development team . At CODEC, we collaborate with teams across many countries, but there’s something uniquely energising about working with innovators from New Zealand. The Kiwi software community combines ambition with pragmatism: building products that are globally competitive, yet grounded in solving real-world problems. Druid is a perfect example. It’s enterprise-grade, but it doesn’t overcomplicate things. It’s powerful, yet simple to deploy. That balance reflects the mindset of its creators. Supporting founders like Simon Falconer also aligns with CODEC’s mission: to empower startups and scale-ups to move faster, launch stronger, and compete globally. When we see New Zealand developers building world-class tools, we want to be part of the story. The Technology Under the Hood So what makes Druid tick? It’s built on modern frameworks and libraries that give it both power and flexibility: .NET 9 – The backbone of the application, ensuring speed and reliability on modern Windows environments. LicenseSpring – Enterprise-ready license management with trials and flexible activation. On top of that, Druid includes configurable collectors, preference locking for enterprise consistency, and multiple deployment models—portable EXEs, MSI installers with a guided GUI, or silent installs for automation platforms like Intune, NinjaOne, or ConnectWise. All of this means IT teams can use Druid the way that suits them best, whether it’s a single helpdesk agent running diagnostics on a laptop, or an MSP pushing it to thousands of client machines. What It Means for IT Teams and MSPs At the end of the day, the technology matters because of the value it creates: For helpdesks: One-click diagnostics means even Level 1 staff can capture a complete system snapshot. Escalations drop, and fixes happen faster. For MSPs: Standardised reporting across all clients ensures consistency and builds trust. For IT leaders: Executive-ready reports translate technical data into business insight. For compliance: Druid captures security and configuration baselines, supporting audits and reviews. This is the kind of impact we love to see: technology that saves time, reduces errors, and strengthens relationships between IT providers and their clients. Looking Ahead With launch fast approaching, we’re proud of the role we’ve played in bringing Druid to life. But more importantly, we’re proud to showcase the innovation coming out of New Zealand. Working with Druid Lab has been proof that world-class software can emerge anywhere—and that when local founders have the right support, they can move at speed and compete globally. Looking forward, we’re excited to see where Druid goes next: deeper integration with RMM platforms, cloud-based fleet dashboards, and even smarter diagnostics powered by machine learning. The foundation is strong, and the roadmap is ambitious. Final Word At CODEC, partnerships are everything. Our collaboration with Druid Lab shows what’s possible when engineering discipline meets founder-led vision. Together, we’ve built more than just software—we’ve built confidence, speed, and trust. Most of all, we’ve had the privilege of supporting New Zealand developers who are punching well above their weight on the global stage. That’s a story worth telling, and we’re proud to be part of it.
